Nordstrom
Understanding Nordstrom's price adjustment policy.

Nordstrom has a published price adjustment policy that also includes price matching with its national competitors as well. If you shop at Nordstrom, this article will help you understand when you’re eligible to request a refund.

Overview

Nordstrom offers a generous price adjustment policy that includes purchases made from Nordstrom and its national competitors. Nordstrom will issue a refund when an item purchased from Nordstrom is marked down by Nordstrom or one of its national competitors within 10 days of the shipment date. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Eligibility

Interestingly, Nordstrom does not require that the original purchase be at full price. However, the marked down item must be identical in color and size to the original item, and must be in stock at Nordstrom and the competitor, if applicable. National competitors include vendor websites (e.g., freepeople.com or nike.com), Amazon (but not third-parties selling on Amazon), and a number of direct competitors such as Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Finish Line, and Foot Locker.

Purchases from outlet stores, flash sales, auctions, clubs, and marketplaces are not eligible, nor are purchases for items purchased from a third-party seller or that are included in savings events, limited-time sales, extra savings events, anniversary sales, daily deals, or beauty daily deals. Designer items that are purchased on sale are also excluded. Only one price adjustment will be issued per item.

Requesting a refund

Price adjustments can be made online using Nordstrom’s request form. You may also request an adjustment in person, but if you do, be sure to have the current advertisement or link to the competitor’s website ready along with your original receipt. While Nordstrom is known for its exceptional customer service, it’s always a good idea to be polite to sales associate when requesting a refund.

How we can help

Requesting price adjustments is time-consuming. You have to constantly be on the lookout for price drops for everything you purchase, figure out if you’re eligible for a refund, and apply for that refund. All of that takes time and a fair bit of organization. We can help you get more of your money back by:

  1. Tracking your purchases
  2. Monitoring for price changes
  3. Notifying you whenever you’re eligible for a refund
  4. Claiming the refund on your behalf (or providing you with instructions for making a claim yourself)

All you need to do is email us the receipt for anything that you want us to track for you. We’ll handle everything else for you automatically. Check out our plan options to get started.
