Price adjustments are refunds that most stores give customers when full-priced items go on sale shortly they’re bought. It’s a way for stores to avoid upsetting customers.

Tracking eligibility requires that you review each store’s price adjustment policy. Policies vary from store to store, and include a variety of requirements, such as the product needing to be exactly the same as the one that was purchased, go on sales within a limited period of time after it is purchased, and be in stock at the time of the claim. Some stores offer cash refunds, while others offer store credit. Others limit what types of sales qualify. In short, it takes work to figure out your eligibility.
