Nike has a published price adjustment policy, but it contains many limitations
that you should be aware of. We’ll cover the highlights of Nike’s policy in this article.
Nike will adjust prices on full-priced items purchased on nike.com or in the
Nike App, if the price of the item is marked down within 14 days of purchase. However, this policy only applies to Nike Members. If you
frequently shop with Nike, then we recommend becoming a Nike Member to be able to take advantage of this policy. According to Nike’s website,
becoming a Nike Member is free.
Assuming you are a Nike Member, Nike will adjust prices on products that were
purchased from Nike at full price in the United States, and that are subsequently marked down as a result of an “eligible Nike promotion or sale”.
It’s not entirely clear which promotions or sales are eligible, but the list of promotions that are not eligible is quite long. Ineligible
promotions include, buy-one get-on free promotions, site-wide promotions, final sales, rebates, gifts with purchase, loyalty programs, credit
rewards, coupons, birthday offers, employee discounts, and pro passes. Custom products, Nike By You, out-of-stock styles, pre-orders, and
backorders are also not eligible. Samples, demos, defective products, refurbished products and pre-owned products are also excluded.
Only one price adjustment will be given per purchase, meaning that you can’t get
more than one refund per purchase, even if the item goes on sale a second timeItems that were purchased on sale are not eligible for price
adjustments.
Lastly, the exact product – same style number, SKU, color, and size – must still be
available on Nike’s website. Oh, and we should note that Nike reserves the right to refuse price adjustments, cap the number of price adjustments
given to a customer, and generally change its mind for at its discretion.
You’ll need to contact Nike’s online support to request a price adjustment.
Be ready to provide your order number, and make sure that the exact item you purchased is still available online. The refund will be issued to
the original payment method.
Nike’s policy doesn’t specifically mention in-store purchases, so we recommend
going to the store to request the price adjustment in person.
Regardless of how you go about requesting your refund, have your order number or
receipt available, and remember to always be polite when requesting a refund. Remember, Nike has broad discretion to refuse the price adjustment,
so it’s a good idea to be nice to the representative that is helping you.
Requesting price adjustments is time-consuming. You have to constantly be on
the lookout for price drops for everything you purchase, figure out if you’re eligible for a refund, and apply for that refund. All of that
takes time and a fair bit of organization. We can help you get more of your money back by:
- Tracking your purchases
- Monitoring for price changes
- Notifying you whenever you’re eligible for a refund
- Claiming the refund on your behalf (or providing you with instructions for making a claim yourself)
All you need to do is email us the receipt for anything that you want us to track
for you. We’ll handle everything else for you automatically. Check out our plan options to get started.
